SOLUTION
Developed a series of cloud-enabled multispectral remote sensing applications for deployment in a Software as a Service (SaaS) business model.
The applications include VegetationVitality for deriving information on overall vegetation health (agriculture, forestry, land-use management), WaterExtent for delineating surface water extent (water supply management, flood detection, coastal analysis), and LandMask for masking land from water (aquatic habitat analysis, water quality, coastal change detection). Users need only select a region of interest and frequency of monitoring, and the application automatically generates the requested raster and vector output products.
Benefits of these SaaS applications include cost-effectiveness, flexibility, scalability, speed and stability. They also reduce IT overhead and improved efficiency in both small and large scale remote sensing data processing and analysis.
